Who will be at Campfire 2024?
Campfire 2024 features an impressive lineup of industry leaders who will share their insights and expertise through fireside chats, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
The day begins with a topic high on everyone’s minds: using data in the dealmaking process. Moustafa ElBialy, Chief Information Officer at Kleiner Perkins, will talk to Affinity’s co-founders Ray Zhou and Shubham Goel about practical approaches to fostering a data-centric culture, optimizing deal flow, and using AI to improve operations and decision-making.
Later, Affinity’s Chief Technical Officer Dominique Simoneau-Ritchie will be joined by Samantha Santaniello-Lawrence of MassMutual Ventures and Jolynn Vallejo of Kapor Capital to discuss ways their teams are using Affinity for fundraising and portfolio support. They’ll cover how they drove adoption of the platform, the thinking behind the processes they’ve created, and ways you can maximize the value from your firm’s shared network.
That’s not all—there will also be breakout sessions! These have been curated to explore solutions to the challenges of today’s dealmaking environment, including:
Digitizing VC workflows
Advances in AI are transforming how firms source, evaluate, and manage deals—creating an evermore competitive race towards digitization and data-driven investing. Jen Ard, a VC investor-turned-COO at Intel Capital will join us to share ways to implement data-driven workflows, and discuss how investors and operations teams can work in unison with technology to make smarter investment decisions.
Centralizing data with relationship intelligence, APIs, and integrations
The value of your firm’s data peaks when it’s combined, aligned, and working comprehensively across your systems. This session will showcase how Affinity power users Dan Brown of Speedinvest and Casey Rovinelli of OMERS use the platform. They’ll cover how they’ve pushed Affinity’s API and integrations to their limits (and sometimes beyond)—and combined them with relationship intelligence to achieve true centralization.
Creating a system for due diligence at scale
Sergio Monsalve, Founding Partner at Roble Ventures has created something unique. The firm’s integrated tech stack has minimized manual work, increased deal flow efficiency, and allowed the team to focus on building relationships and providing exceptional portfolio support. Monsalve will discuss his philosophy, the components of his tech stack, and how the team has been built to diligence 1,000+ deals a year.
Scaling operations from idea to adoption
As a team scales, it can be hard to adapt ways of working to drive efficiencies and get results. For Lauren Gomez of Sozo Ventures, scaling from Fund II to Fund III required a complete change to operations. Join her to find out how she drove adoption, managed change, and streamlined workflows across deal sourcing, relationship management, and pipeline tracking.
